Route Description
The hike begins in the village of Ambelos, at an elevation of around 250 meters. The trail is clear and easy to follow, surrounded by low vegetation, wild thyme, and the endless blue of the Libyan Sea accompanying every step. The slopes are gentle, the terrain stable, and there are no technical challenges making the route suitable for most hikers.
As you descend toward Bo, the landscape opens up, revealing one of the quietest and most authentic corners of Gavdos. From this point, a second short route continues toward Potamos, a beach known for its crystal‑clear waters and absolute tranquility.
